BOLTON motor bike racer Shaun Horsman is preparing for a renewed assault on the British 125 GP championship which starts at Brands Hatch over the Easter weekend.
Horsman will continue to benefit from the Team Symitry North IT owned by Leicestershire businessman Steven Holbrough. Holbrough has been the main sponsor for the team’s young and promising rider Horsman for the past two seasons and has pledged his support for the coming season.
Horsman, who will be 19 in March, began 2009 in fine style with a third place in the opening round of the
British 125cc championship at Brands Hatch. But he was then hindered by a run of bad luck with
engine problems which saw him score points in only six of the 12 rounds, robbing him of a sure-fire
top five end to the season.
The team are currently preparing the Honda 125cc machine for preseason testing at Mallory and Oulton Park
Holbrough said: “The lad shows promise and once we have the bike running smoothly he is capable of
running at the front of the field challenging for race wins.”
The 12-round British Championship runs throughout the season at high profile circuits across the UK ending at Oulton Park in October.
